Keyword Search Help

When searching for information on your topic on databases, try the following keywords/search terms:

  • The scientific name of the microbe (Be sure to spell it correctly!)
  • The name of the disease the microbe causes

You can narrow your search based on your research needs. For example, you can search:

  • The disease AND symptoms
  • The microbe AND the disease
  • The disease AND treatment
  • The microbe AND mode of transmission

These are just SOME examples. Combine different terms, based on your needs for research, to get the best information for your project.
